Our History ...
The Uxbridge Housing Authority began with 22 units of Veterans Housing, and added 30 units of Housing for Elderly/Disabled in 1961off of Bruce Street known as Calumet Court. Another 56 units were added in 1975 with a separate community building adjacent to Calumet Court, known as Centennial Court.
In the early 80’s, the UHA partnered with Alternatives Unlimited to develop a community residence on High Street which has been a home for 8 of their consumers since 1982.
In the late 80’s, the UHA added an additional community residence at Veterans Parkway, in partnership with the Department of Mental Retardation, for 8 consumers completed in 1988, as well as expanding Veterans Parkway with 12 Units for Families, 2 of which were handicapped accessible units.
